Custom Photo Greeting Cards for the Holiday!

It's that time of year when we need to start thinking about sending Christmas cards.  I am so guilty of waiting till the last minute, but not this year!

I'll be creating my custom photo greeting card right after Thanksgiving, because we get our tree put up the day after, and it's a great backdrop for our family Christmas card!

I would love to create your custom card using your favorite photo!  I use the wonderful Artisan software created by Panstoria.  I'll take your photo, create a few different cards from you to choose from, then we'll send them to be printed.  I don't charge to create your card, and satisfaction is guaranteed!  The cost of the prints from the Panstoria print shop run $0.69 to $1.39 for flat cards, and $1.39 to $3.99 for folded cards!

You can also shop for specific digital content for me to use if you like!  I'll let you know if I already have it, and if I don't, I'll purchase it to use for your cards!

You can send me an email at joyfulscrapper67@aol.com if you'd like me to help!

New Coolio Globe Technique!

This page was so fun to create in Storybook Creator Plus 3.0! First, I used the stamping tool to create my own Disney paper. I just put the Mickey ears element on a solid sheet of paper, right clicked and 'stamped' it (blended color stamp, noisy, .33 coverage & Invert selected). Then I copied my new Mickey ears stamp all over the page and grouped all of them along with the paper. I then saved the page as content so I could use it later for other Disney pages! For the 2nd page I just changed the colors of the background paper and the stamps to create a different look.

Next came the globe. I took a wonderful picture I love of my sister's family at Disney last year and copied it 25 times onto my page then evenly spaced them so it made a grid of 5x5 pictures. I selected all and flattened. I then went to the Format tab, selected Filters, selected Sphereize, rotation angle of 100 and checked Clip outside. Walla! Now I have a globe! I copied the globe 2 more times and made smaller for the 'ears'.

Next I made a text path around the ears, selecting repeat text to fill. I went around one ear and adjusted as I wanted, then typed 'Disney 2009' in Wishlist 2009 font. I copied it and pasted it for the other ear.

Lastly I brought over a Disney embellishment from the Disney Power Pallette and I was done! It was really fun and I encourage you to try making a globe page. I LOVE StoryBook Creator Plus 3.0 and I'm so excited to learn more and more tricks every day.

Free Template for SB+ made with the Cottage Garden collection

This is a wonderful free template using the Cottage Garden digital collection for SB+ created by an awesome consultant, Tammy Gillespie! To use the free template, first download it to a place where you can find it later. Open SB+ and create a new project, blank 12x12 pages. Then import the page and select it from the location where you saved it. I saved my project as 12x12 live template pages. You can then adjust it any way you like and import it into any 12x12 project you are working on! I will post more free templates, so check back often!

Welcome to my blog!

Thanks for checking out my blog! A little about me...I love taking pictures more than anything. I was introduced several years ago to Creative Memories when my sister invited me to a party where a consultant helped us make a scrapbook page. I had never seen or done that before. I was thrilled. I created a page of my daughter's 1st birthday. I was so proud. After a year or two, I decided to become a consultant to help support my new habit. The discount on products was great. I didn't have any customers or downline, but it really didn't matter because I only wanted the discount. A few years later, my maternal grandfather introduced me to genealogy. He had traced our family history all the way back to Adam of the Bible, yes, it's true. It took him 10 years. He was an incredible man. I was very proud of what he had done for our family. It was fascinating! I then started tracing my father's side of the family to learn more about my Cherokee Indian heritage. It was at that point in my journey that scrapbooking became so much more for me. After digging and realizing I had very few pictures of my ancestors and didn't really know anything about them, nor could I find anything about them, I realized I had to do a better job of documenting my life and my family's life for my children and future generations. They deserve to know all about me and my family and my life. I was really saddened that I didn't have any documentation of my ancestors like my grandfather had found for his side of the family. It then became a quest for me to help others understand how important it was to journal their life, preserve their pictures, and come up with meaningful ways to display all of it. It is now my passion to help people with their journeys. I love Creative Memories for what they stand for, their incredible quality of products, and the people I have met along the way. I am now a stay-at-home mom and am looking forward to my new journey and helping as many people as I can along the way.
